"Connection"

In dire need
The heart retreats
Into the palm
That is your hand.

A steadfast grasp
A squeeze so tight
And never once
Will you let go.

With deep conviction
In the eyes
You look inside
and see your soul.

The smile speaks
What lips cannot
The voice is heard
Within your touch.

For what you see
It is the soul,
connecting to another.
The grace and beauty of it all,
Life's greatest mystery.
